The Eastern Riviera of Liguria

Deiva Marina in Liguria has the luck to be located in the middle between Genoa and the Tuscan Versilia.
The facilities belonging to our group (Residence, Hotel, Apartments, Campsites), may give you
all the touristic information and the proper assistance to organize your holiday without problems and stress.

The Eastern Riviera is a tract of the Mediterranean which still keeps the old fashion atmosphere
and gives many surprises to the visitors who know only the most famous towns, such as Cinque Terre and Portofino.

To see in Genoa:
The Aquarium, the Ancient Port, Galata Museo del Mare, the reproduction of a caravel, the submarine Nazario Sauro,
Natural History Museum, the Light House "Lanterna", Palazzo Ducale, San Lorenzo Cathedral, Cristopher Columbus' House,
Porta Soprana (the ancient door of the town), Palazzo Spinola, Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Doria, the Old town with its alleys,
declared world heritage site by U N E S C O, Palazzo dei Rolli, Boccadasse, Villa Pallavicini, Nervi's Parks,
Villa Groppallo, il Giardino Botanico, Villa Grimaldi, the beautiful seafront promenade in Nervi.

Paradiso Gulf:
from Genoa to Camogli with picturesque views, with its villages Bogliasco, Pieve Ligure, Sori, Recco, Camogli.

To see in Bogliasco:
the Little port, the Church of the Nativity with its parvis, the Castle.

To discover in Pieve Ligure:
The Parish of San Michele, the Oratory of S.Antonio Abate.

To visit in Sori:
the Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, the Church of Sant Apollinare, the Historical Centre.

To see in Recco:
the town has been bombed during the last world war and has been rebuilt. However you can still admire the Parish Church and partial historical center.
It's a gastronomic capital, famous for having invented the "Trofie" (fresh pasta) and Focaccia al Formaggio.

To visit in Camogli:
Its particular architecture, the little harbour, the Archeological Museum, the Museum Marinaro
Gio Bon Ferrari, San Fruttuoso's Abbey, the Church of San Nicolò di Capodimonte.

The Fontanabuona Valley:
its mines, the manufacturing and the museum of the Slate, easily reachable in Cicagna and surroundings.
The most important villages are Cicagna, Gattorna, Carasco, Leivi, Cogorno, San Colombano Certenoli,
Coreglia Ligure, Favale di Malvaro, Moconesi, Lorsica, Lumarzo, Neirone, Orero, Tribogna.

The Graveglia Valley:
the Mines of Manganese in Gambatesa, that you can visit on the traditional carts.
The most important towns are: Nascio, Case Soprane, Cassagna, Campo di Ne, Chiesanuova, Reppia,
Giastre, Castagnola, Terisso, Prato Arzeno, Iscioli, Tolceto, Sambuceto, Statale, Zerli, Botasi.

The D’Aveto Valley:
rich of plants, it has mountains which reach 1700 meters on the sea level, such as Monte Penna, Monte Bue, Maggiorasca.
Santo Stefano d’Aveto is a ski town.

The Tigullio Gulf:
it is long from Portofino to Moneglia, and includes Santa Margherita Ligure, San Michele di Pagana,
Rapallo, Zoagli, Chiavari, Lavagna, Cavi, Sestri Levante, Riva Trigoso.

To see in Santa Margherita:
the Cervara Abbey, the Cathedral of Santa Margherita di Antiochia, Villa Durazzo, the Historical Centre, the seafront Promenade.

To visit in Rapallo:
the Door of the Saline, the Cathedral of Santi Gervasio e Protasio, the Civic Tower, the Castle on the sea,
the Museum del Merletto (lace), the Shrine of Nostra Signora di Montallegro, the Bridge of Annibale.

To discover in Zoagli:
the Church of San Giovanni, the Church of San Pantaleo, the Church of San Martino, the Castles,
the landscapes and panorama of the coast, Sant’Ambrogio, where Ezra Pound lived.

To see in Chiavari:
the historical centre and the small alleys called Caruggi, the black arcades with the columns each one different
to the others and very well know for shopping, Palazzo dei Portici neri, Palazzo Torriglia, Palazzo Rocca
and the Archeological Museum, the Necropolis of the 7th century B.C., the Parish Church, the Library and the Art Gallery.

To visit in Lavagna:
the historical center with an alley for shopping and some short arcades, the Tower of Borgo,
The Slate Art Gallery, the Cathedral of Santo Stefano, the Cathedral of Santa Giulia.

To see in Cavi:
the ancient village, the Church of Immacolata Concezione, the Church of Gesù Risorto, the Church of Apostolo Pietro.

To discover in Sestri Levante:
the Bay of Silence, the little harbor, the small alleys with several shops, the Church of San Nicola di Bari,
the Church of Santo Stefano del Ponte, the Art Gallery Rizzi.

To visit in Moneglia:
the historical centre, the Church of San Giorgio, the Church of Santa Croce, the Fortress Villafranca, the fortress Monleone.

The Vara Valley:
It's the valley of biological and typical products, with Varese Ligure, Rio, Groppo, Pignone, Brugnato,
Godano, Calice al Cornoviglio, Suvero, Torza, Zignago, Passo Cento Croci, Passo del Rastello o del Rastrello.

The Riviera of La Spezia or of the Promontories:
with Deiva Marina, Framura, Bonassola, Levanto.

To see in Deiva Marina:
the Church of Sant Antonio Abate with its famous parvis the 2 Sighting Towers of the Saracen Age at around the year 1000 A.C.,
the small historical center, the Church of Assunta again from the year 1000 A.C., the ruins of the Castle Da Passano,
the Bracco Pass, the archeological digging on the San Nicolao Mountain, a wonderful green valley, one of the widest sandy beaches,
the road of tunnels which was the ancient railway, open for cars in direction Sestri Levante.

To discover in Framura:
the historical center, the Saracen Tower in Costa, the Church of San Martino, the Church of San Lorenzo, The Port Pidocchio.

To see in Bonassola:
the tiny Church of Madonna della Punta, the Church of Santa Caterina, the Castle of the year 1561.

To visit in Levanto:
the Church of Sant’Andrea, the Medieval Castle, Villa Agnelli, the historical Centre, the sea with long waves, suitable for Surfing.
